The one thing I would suggest is an embrace of the the designers who "aren't quite there yet". I know that in the past there have been portfolio crits for students, but I'm looking to post university. I know a lot of designers find it very difficult to break into the industry in this area. Which seems strange, due to the amount of agencies and businesses present.
It would be great to hear the other side of the story and perhaps find out how to make it less of an arduous journey for themselves. What events could be planned about this I'm not sure.
I'd definitely be interested in going to something like this. I myself am still trying to gain more experience, and some of the agency orientated talks/events seem intimidating.

thanks for the response, we will have a look into it and pass it on to everyone, involved and even if nothing can be sorted out for the festival perhaps we can try and use this platform to answer any questions people may have. So if you have particular questions feel free to post them.
